Spell files in Vim for article series

You’re blogging or writing technical articles. Most often you don’t want to publish them with typos. Naturally, you set the language for the document.

set spell spelllang=pl

Whether it’s Polish or English, general dictionaries treat many words as typos, but they should not in reality.

To alleviate this, create a new spell file:

touch projects/ajti-krald/ajti-krald.utf-8.add

Now, set it up:

set spellfile=projects/ajti-krald/ajti-krald.utf-8.add

Separate spell files are great when you write article series. This way you can save some time during proofreading.

This is an excerpt from one of my spell files:

cat projects/ajti-krald/ajti-krald.utf-8.add
